Digital Identity Protection

Digital identity systems are becoming part of the critical infrastructure of the digital economy. As quantum computing advances, the cryptographic foundations that protect credentials, wallets, registries, and trust services must evolve as well. Quantum B supports this transition by combining post-quantum cryptography, digital identity engineering, and blockchain-based trust infrastructure to help build identity systems that remain secure in the quantum era.

POSEIDON

Our work in this area is reinforced by our participation in POSEIDON: Securing European Digital Identities with Post-Quantum Solutions, a large EU-funded consortium focused on preparing Europe’s digital identity ecosystem for the cybersecurity challenges posed by quantum computing. The project is aimed at enabling a secure transition to post-quantum cryptography, delivering deployable tools for identity management, and validating solutions in real-world settings. Quantum Blockchains is listed among the consortium partners. https://poseidon-pqc.eu/about-us/

Within this domain, we contribute technologies and architectural components for post-quantum-ready digital identity ecosystems, including work related to EUDI Wallet-oriented infrastructures, credential trust models, and resilient identity back ends. A key part of this is QSB Blockchain, which we position as a trust layer for verifiable identity environments where integrity, persistence, and long-term cryptographic resilience matter.

Our DID:QSB method has been added to the W3C DID Methods registry and the DID Directory, improving its visibility and discoverability for implementers evaluating trust infrastructure for digital identity systems. This strengthens the role of QSB as a building block for verifiable credentials, trust registries, and future EUDI-aligned deployments.

Digital identity

What we deliver

We help organizations and public-sector stakeholders build quantum-resilient identity architectures through:

  1. Support PQC-enabled digital identity solutions for wallet, credential, and trust-service environments.

  2. Design trust layers based on QSB Blockchain and the DID:QSB method for resilient identity ecosystems.

  3. Architect wallet, credential, and verification ecosystems with long-term cryptographic resilience in mind.

  4. Guide the transition toward EUDI-ready, post-quantum-secure identity services from advisory through implementation.
